What is the European Heart and Lung Transplant Federation (EHLTF)? PDF Print E-mail

The EHLTF is:

  • a federation of European National Heart and Lung Transplant Patient Associations.
  • a member of the European Patients Forum. (EPF)

It was formally established in Helsinki, Finland on July 3rd 1994, when representatives from 15 European National Heart- or Heart-Lung Transplant Associations signed the protocol accepting the Statues of the Federation.

The signatories were:
Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

On October 13th 2005 the name was amended to read: European Heart and Lung Transplant Federation (EHLTF).
